variety of talent in our membership ranging from Directors of IT, Sys Admins, Programmers you name it
we have it.
We are an award winning organization winning the 2009 Chapter Outstanding Performance Award
(COPA), 2009 Region Outstanding Chapter Award (ROCA) and now in the running for the national
Association Outstanding Chapter Award (AOCA) for our performance in 2009. We were recently awarded
the 2010 Chapter Outstanding Performance Award which will put us again in the running for ROCA and
AOCA. We were chosen out of 20 chapters nationwide to pilot a soft skills training course in 2009 as a
result of our growth, membership and leadership.
Back by popular demand the Tech IT Out Technology Showcase and Expo will be Thursday,
September 1th, 2011. We are still finalizing plans on the venue and securing IT presenters for this year’s
event. Last year we had over 250 IT professionals from the region attend the showcase and expo. This
is a first of its kind event for Southwest Missouri.
We continue to support the Mid-America Technology Alliance (MATA) and their vision to be a resource
for collaboration to attract, nurture, and promote the region’s technology economy. Together we strive
to provide the IT community with opportunities to network, gain education and become part of an
organization that works hard to provide an environment where IT professionals can learn about new
technologies that will help improve their companies efficiencies and help them grow as IT professionals.
If you are interested in learning more about our local chapter please feel free to contact an officer or
board member about the many benefits of membership. We at Southwest Missouri AITP wish you and
yours a successful 2011.
Sincerely,
